Heavy shortage of flour in Pakistan – Inflation at its peak, many political parties protested

Pakistan Protest over Flour Shortage: The situation of economic distress in Pakistan is gradually becoming more serious. Inflation is at its peak in the country and the purchasing power of the people has reduced considerably. Meanwhile, there is a huge shortage of flour in the country (Pakistan Flour Shortage). Due to such a situation, there is a lot of anger among the common people from many political parties. Many political parties of Pakistan have protested against the shortage of flour and inflation.

According to Dawn’s report, activists of several political parties of Pakistan also demanded the government to take action against the hoarders.

Activists of Pakistan Peoples Party-Shaheed Bhutto, Sindh Taraqi-pasand Party and Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan) on Friday (January 13) Different demonstrations were held against skyrocketing inflation and shortage of flour. According to Dawn news, a demonstration was held outside a local press club in Larkana.

Concern over inflation and shortage of flour

Activists of Shia Ulema Council and Sindh Tarki Pasand Party took out a procession and demonstrated at the Press Club. The leaders of the parties expressed concern over the ongoing Pakistan Flour Shortage in the district. The leaders insisted that some outlets were not sufficient to supply low-cost flour to meet the huge demand.

Demand for action against hoarders

According to Dawn’s report, Shia Ulema Council and Sindh Tarki Pasand Party workers in Pakistan demanded Shehbaz Sharif Govt to take action against the hoarders. They allege that some people are looting people by selling flour at exorbitant rates. He said the need of the hour is to implement the decision to ensure availability of flour at a controlled price of Rs 65 at all shops.
